Die Skulptur „Problem (mit Dachbegrünung)“ erinnert an moderne Wohn- und Geschäftsgebäude. Sie beleuchtet die ästhetischen Parallelen und Kontinuitäten zwischen sogenannter Investorenarchitektur und den Bauten des deutschen und italienischen Faschismus. Unter Mussolini errichtete Gebäude wie der Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rom werden dekontextualisiert anderen Nutzungen zugeführt und gleichzeitig bis heute vielfach architektonisch „zitiert“. Dass die Architektur jedoch als machtstärkendes und -legitimierendes Mittel und als Teil eines totalitären Gesellschaftssystems erkannt werden sollte, bleibt hierbei unberücksichtigt.
Für die Skulptur „Problem (mit Dachbegrünung)“ wurde ein Teil der Fassade des Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana auf einen Travertinblock übertragen welcher zuvor bis auf eine tragende Säule ausgehölt wurde. Die Esche welche aus dem Block wächst, wurde dort als kleiner Sprössling vorgefunden, weiter gegossen und dient der Skulptur als Dachbegrünung, welche oft auch verwendet wird um Neubauten einen nachhaltigen, „grünen“ Anstrich zu verleihen.

The sculpture "Problem (with green roof)" is reminiscent of modern residential and commercial buildings. It illuminates the aesthetic parallels and continuities between so-called investor architecture and the buildings of German and Italian fascism. Buildings erected under Mussolini, such as the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome, are decontextualized for other uses and at the same time " quoted" architecturally in many cases to this day. However, the fact that architecture should be seen as a means of strengthening and legitimizing power and as part of a totalitarian social system remains unconsidered here.
For the sculpture "Problem (with roof greening)" a part of the facade of the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana was transferred to a travertine block which was previously hollowed out down to a supporting column. The ash tree growing from the block was found there as a small sapling and serves the sculpture as a green roof, which is often used to give new buildings a sustainable, "green" image.
